BIZARRE BAZAAR
NEWS

Dear Volunteers,

My goodness! We have been busy at Bizarre Bazaar, and the true summer rush has not started yet. The month of May came in as a record May for sales and on one day alone we had over forty sales.

That is great for the shop and our ability to give scholarships and grants, but the downside is it is difficult to have so much activity going on and so few volunteers. It takes a village to do all sorts of wonderful things, and it certainly takes a village to keep Bizarre Bazaar running.

Summer means we all have more visitors and fun things to do, but if you could spare just a couple of hours (or a couple more), we would love to see you! Women’s clothing and crafts, and the front end can always use a few more hands.

Have you seen the courtyard recently at Bizarre Bazaar? The very green thumbs of Joyce and Mike Price, Cathy Horton, and Carla Lariza are doing an incredible job of turning our little weed patch into a lovely area. If you are working and need to take a break, the patio is a delightful place to sit, watch the birds, and just relax. Thank you to our gardening crew!

The 4th of July weekend will be here before we know it, along with summer visitors and then we get the extremely busy time at the end of July and August with so many activities – The Festival, Pend Oreille Arts Council’s Arts and Crafts Fair, the Rodeo and The County Fair. We are already gearing up for the onslaught of visitors. We expect more visitors this summer so would appreciate seeing you!
