Dear Members,
I’ve had the honor of serving as grants chair this past cycle, but all the kudos and efforts belong to a strong committee. This group spent hours giving consideration to each of the applications and awarded $157,500 to 35 worthy organizations. Many thanks go to: Norma Bartenhagen, Sherry Fulton, Steve Garvan, Linda Gibbs, Katie Holley, Cathy Horton, Maribeth Lynch, Char Matheson, Ann Nichols, Barb Pagoulatos, Ann Torpie, and Pam Trimble. These CAL members discussed, debated, and decided on behalf of all of us. And because our monies go to a wide variety of nonprofits, all of Bonner County is the better for it.
I thank each and every one for their commitment. And you, dear reader, if you have volunteered, donated, or shopped at Bizarre Bazaar this year; or if you have in some other way caused others to volunteer, donate, or shop--or just write a check!--you are part of why we have had so much money to grant to Bonner County nonprofits.
