Dear Volunteers,

     You did it! 
      

All your hard work translated into 44 grants and several scholarships.
Congratulations on a job well done.
Diane and I thank you for your dedication in helping CAL help the Bonner Community.


We are in full swing with our Summer season at Bizarre Bazaar. The colors are beautiful and bright, the fabrics are light and airy. Garden and deck décor abound (don’t forget to check out the Garden Shop!). Let’s keep the wintery things hidden in the back and enjoy Summer! Keep it light and bright!

A few reminders:

“HOLD” tags are for a limited time only (24-48 hours). They need to have the customer’s name and phone number and your name and phone number. Items held beyond that time will be returned to the floor.

“SOLD” tags need the customer’s name and phone number, date of pickup and your name and phone number. Please add “PAID” to the tag to alleviate any confusion.

Small “Hold” and “Sold” items go on the shelf in the back room marked “Customer Hold”. If items are consistently placed there, it will be easier for other volunteers to find them for customers.

When dusting, don’t forget the clothing rounders! Sometimes we could plant flowers in the dust.

Please use the “Lighting Guide” to turn on lights. It is located with the “Opening/Closing” instructions.

We have had some items go “MIA”. There has always been a notebook under the cash counter titled “Shop Manual”. Anyone have any ideas where it might be hiding? Additionally, two brand new laminators are missing from the “Members Only” shelves in the Clubhouse. The laminators are property of Bizarre Bazaar and need to be returned (or replaced) ASAP.

There is some confusion over returns. It is Bizarre Bazaar policy that ALL SALES ARE FINAL. The only exception is for an electrical or electronic item the customer purchases, then discovers it does not work. We do not “do” returns when a customer decides they do not want the item, do not like it or it does not fit. If you need to process a return, offer the customer a chance to find an item of similar value or give them a Gift Certificate. It is also possible to have the treasurer send them a check. Under no circumstances do we reimburse the customer with cash. If you need help, ask your team leader or call Diane or Cherie.

CAL has a lot of new members! It is always exciting to see new faces amongst the dear “older” ones. If you see any of the ladies with a polka-dot ribbon on their name tag, step up, introduce yourself and welcome them to the fold. And because we have new team members, we will be having a mega-training day in the Fall. Until that time, when you meet someone new, share a little of your wisdom and insight – we’re certain it will be appreciated!

May, June and July calendars are available and it's now sorted by week and day, just as the big manual calendar. You can also schedule through a team leader or on paper at the shop. Hope to see you soon.
