Vice-President's Corner

Dear CAL members,

Once again we had a lovely weekend with wonderful kite flying weather. My grandson ran his little legs off yesterday trying to keep his kite in the air and finally we had success.

The Social Committee will be meeting on Saturday, May 16th to finalize our plans for this year's spring luncheon. It is a Spring Garden theme. If you have a cute gardening hat be sure to wear it. There will be two fantastic raffles this year - tickets will be $5.00 each. Last year our President, Sherry Fulton, was the lucky winner. Centerpieces will be up for bid as well. Proceeds to this year's event will be donated to our local Teen Center. The Teen center is a supervised after school facility for our young people to meet and share activities. If you were not able to sign up for the luncheon, please put your name on the waiting list. Guest may be added to the waiting list starting May 11th.

Sign ups for the PAWS FOR A CAUSE dog walk committee will be on Wednesday, May 20th at our general meeting. To help make our darling raffle baskets for this event, please bring a DOGGIE item to the general meeting. Thank you so much for your support. This year's proceeds will be given to Sandpoint's Cancer Center....helping our community in the fight against cancer.
