Dear Members,

After all the work that Helen Tapp and her troop of workers did to get the Healing Garden ready for the fundraiser, it went off beautifully. It was well attended and all of the artworks were sold. Helen Tapp will be giving us an update at the General Meeting next week. This picture is one of the wooden yard art pieces that was sold. Suzuki Strings provided music for everyone (of course, my daughter and grandson are prominent in the picture) as they strolled through the garden.

Hope to see you at the meeting next week to hear more.

The work group will continue keeping the garden beautiful every Saturday.

The Independence Day parade is rapidly approaching and work still needs to be done to be ready. The pickup trucks have been lined up (we are only allowed to have four), the magnetic signs are in, but the posters still need to be imagined and created. I’m hoping to line up some poster makers at this week’s meeting to help with that. We only need six. The posters will highlight some of the wonderful work that we do. Please get your marching shoes ready and come help us celebrate Independence Day with “It Takes a Community”.
