Celebrate our Nation's
Independence Day

with CAL!

Dear Members,

The 4th of July and the Lion’s Club Parade are just around the corner. Let’s all get out there and walk the route to show our pride in our wonderful country and organization! This year’s parade theme is “The Sounds of Freedom” and CAL’s theme is “The Community Assistance League is in Tune with the Community”. Our float will have a musical flavor, and those who are unable to walk the parade are encouraged to ride on the float. The rest of us will carry our flags and walk behind the float. I will be asking for sign-ups at the next meeting, both to work on the float on July 3 and to participate in the parade on July 4.

We ask that parade participants wear their CAL T-shirts, white pants and, preferably, white shoes. If you don’t have a CAL T-shirt, there is time to go to “I Saw Something Shiny” to purchase one.

One more request, if you have a musical instrument that you could loan us for the float, please let me know. No one will be playing the instruments (I hope!!), but they will add to our musical theme.
