Get Ready for Christmas!

Hi Members,

We all made it through Halloween and Thanksgiving and Christmas are fast approaching. Your Social Committee has been hard at work planning an amazing Christmas luncheon for you. Below are the details:

Come experience the “Winter Wonderland” Christmas Luncheon on Wednesday, December 12 at Schweitzer Mountain Resort. Bring out your best formals, furs, party dresses or pants to enjoy a Bing Crosby style White Christmas event! Social hour is 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. with a no host cash bar. Wine, Merry Marys (our version of a Bloody Mary or Caesar) and a Mystery drink will be available for purchase. Lunch is buffet style starting at 1:00 p.m. and the cost is $35.

The menu is:

Applewood Smoked Pork Loin with maple blood orange reduction
Sage roasted chicken with sautéed crimini mushrooms in a sage infused chicken aus jus
Rice pilaf
Seasonal vegetables
Mixed greens salad with a house vinaigrette and creamy house dressing

Rolls and butter
Apple crisp with whipped cream
Coffe, tea and water
Sodas will be available for purchase

We will be holding a raffle during the luncheon. Each attendee will receive one free raffle ticket and more can be purchased for $1 each or 6 for $5. There will be also an opportunity to purchase the beautiful centerpieces that our committee has made. These beautiful arrangements will bring your home that magical holiday spirit. All funds from the sale of our arrangements will go back to Bizarre Bazaar.

Stop by Bizarre Bazaar to reserve and pay for your spot, or bring a check or cash to this coming Wednesday's General Meeting. You will not want to miss our best event of the year!! We will have bus transportation available to Schweitzer.

Kinderhaven’s Festival of Trees is quickly approaching. We will have a table at Wednesday’s general meeting with cards that have items we need to go under the tree. We are requesting that the auctioneer at the gala this year auction our tree with the concept that the buyer acts as Santa to the children at the Kinderhaven house. There will be a pizza party along with the gifts that will be delivered to the children. The gifts on the cards are actual gifts that Kinderhaven has requested for the children and the home they live in. Please stop by and take a card. We have many that are of nominal cost and some that several of you might want to go in together on. What doesn’t get purchased we will buy with the funds we have raised so far from the Wine, Stein, and Dine event and our first General Meeting. As always, we so much appreciate the generosity of all our members. Thank you and see you all Wednesday.
