Get Ready….SANTA’S GAL ELVES
SPECIAL PROJECT FOR OUR SENIORS
 
 
 
Dear Members,
 
CAL is trying to give a small remembrance gift to every senior in the Meals-on-Wheels program and this year the number of gifts we need has doubled. We are asking all of our members to adopt a senior or two. As of now, we still need at least another 42 gifts.
 
It is easy:

  • Buy a gift
     
  • Wrap the gift or use a gift bag, and attach the number prominently on the gift
     
  • Put the gift on the counters in the room behind the ironing area at Bizarre Bazaar
All gifts are due by Monday, December 6, at close of business.
 
 
This may be the most meaningful gift you give this season. You will only know the gender of your recipient (HIPAA regulations).
 
Use your imagination. Some thoughts that I have had with regard to gifts are warm socks, fingerless gloves, throws, large print books, puzzle books, jigsaw puzzles, candy, shawl, flashlight and batteries, a little Christmas room ornament, tea, shortbread, muffler, mints.
 
 
Don’t feel you have to go crazy. Just a little gift and a card will make someone feel good.
