BIZARRE BAZAAR

Dear Volunteers, One more day and spring will officially be here! We may be greeting it with some rainy days, but to watch it wash the snow away will be a blessing. However, inside Bizarre Bazaar, it has been spring this last month. And, with markdowns coming this week, there will be no doubt in anyone’s mind. Easter décor is starting to appear and the colors of everything, especially clothing, are getting lighter and brighter. Enough of big coats, heavy sweaters, turtlenecks and snow-proof boots. Bring on the pretty spring colors, florals, real shoes, fun jewelry and accessories! The community pays attention to our Facebook page. This past week, several donors have appeared at our back door, bags or boxes in hand, declaring that they read we needed things to sell. Thank you, Karen Hanna, for making the Facebook page so compelling. A reminder to all Team Leaders and Department Heads that we will be gathering at Bizarre Bazaar on Wednesday, March 29th at 9:30 a.m. for our bi-annual meeting. Anyone who might be interested in becoming a team leader or who just would like to see the process, please do come. We ask that you RSVP, so we know how many to expect. Bring your questions and comments and join us! Some housekeeping notes:

KUDOS KORNER
Many thanks to two dedicated sorters extraordinaire, Susan Black and Patti Rechnitzer. If you need advice on how to be ruthless when sorting, these are the ladies. They arrive several mornings a month and dig in, clearing the decks of all incoming donations in short order. It is not all work however, as these two laugh, tell delightful stories and totally enjoy themselves while working. Thank you, Susan and Patti!
Your managers look forward to seeing you soon at Bizarre Bazaar!

You can sign up on-line or if you have difficulty with that contact our Volunteer Coordinator, Robbie Gleason, at either 208-627-2983 or northidahogirl50@gmail.com. There is also a paper calendar near the pricing station at Bizarre Bazaar.
Your management team appreciates all you do as a volunteer, whether in Bizarre Bazaar or outside the walls. We heard an inspiring comment from a visitor to Sandpoint this past week. She stated that she had never seen a thrift store so lovingly put together. And that, ladies and Steve, is what makes Bizarre Bazaar so wonderful. The love that goes into our little shop and the joy it brings to all of us and our customers. Thank you.
In appreciation for all you do!
