Get Ready for the Hoe-Down!

Good day to you,

We were certainly a full house for Wednesday's meeting. Beautiful weather brings us all out of our homes.

Luncheon sign ups were amazing - eighty plus ladies and counting. It promises to be one of the best. Lin Otey and her committee always put on a 'time of your life' event. What could be more fun than an indoor campout? We know the weather will be perfect. HA HA. If you were not at the meeting Wednesday, the sign up list is now at BB. Cost is $20 for members and $22 for guests. Please write one check for EACH person and include your check #. The fun will begin at 11:00 a.m. at Bonner Fairgrounds. Circle the date, Tuesday, April 12.

This year's raffle is a beautiful Evening At The Festival. The raffle includes 2 tickets to the final Festival Concert with the Spokane Symphony and a two night stay at Julia Kern’s recently opened B&B. Thank you to both our ladies, Marcella Nelson and Julia Kern for their generous donations. Raffle tickets will be $3.00 each or 5 for $10.00. The money from the raffle and centerpiece silent auction will benefit the Senior Center in Sandpoint.

Dave Sturgis gave an inspirational program about his Ride Across America. It is amazing to me what we will do for our children and grandchildren. His little grandson Henry, is a miracle, not to mention being a real trooper and cool kid. My Joshi thinks the world of him. Mary and Dave, you are a wonder.

Mark your calendar for March 25th and 26th when the 24 HOURS FOR HANK takes place at Schweitzer Ski Resort. Individual skiers and teams will attempt to log as many runs as they can in a 24 hour period. Saturday night is a celebration for their successes and sure to include a lot of sore muscles but happy faces. The silent auction and dinner is always fun and delicious. Information on Hank's event is available here: www24hoursforhank.org. The road to Schweitzer is dry, the snow is lovely, and the views are gorgeous (well, right now).

Well, time to go out and enjoy the blue sky and sunshine. Walk your dog, play in the garden or just hang out. I hope you were able to help with BB's participation (or shopping) in “Tour de Thrift” this Saturday.

Have a beautiful weekend.

Linda Zinn
