BIZARRE BAZAAR CHRISTMAS NEWS

Dear Volunteers,

Winter may not be officially here, but winter-like weather is. It is chilly, but beautiful - and also treacherous. That means taking a little extra caution driving, walking and coming and going at the shop. We have an arrangement with someone to plow, but will need a little help with walks, especially the back one. There are snow shovels and ice melt at the back door, so if you feel a little need for some vigorous aerobic activity, please don’t hesitate to jump in!

A little extra lighting always helps during these dark days so team leaders please don’t forget to turn on the back-door light when you lock up and turn it off in the morning. If the light does not come on, that means that the circuit breaker (one of the ones with tape and the red dot that says leave on) has been accidentally flipped. This breaker (right side of box) is ALWAYS left on. It also controls the club house, wedding dress area and sorting area lights.

Our little elves have been busy and now all the Christmas décor and holiday clothing is out on the floor. The shop still looks so beautiful! Let’s help it by keeping it dusted, tidy and bright. There are a lot of Christmas lights to turn on but it sure is worth the effort when they sparkle.

We are still getting lots of customers and have been quite busy, so if you can spare a little time, please drop in
and lend a hand. All comers will be welcome with open arms! A few of our shifts look lightly staffed, so come on in and join the fun.

Store closures for December:
We will be closed Wednesday, December 14th for the CAL luncheon; Saturday, December 24th; Monday, December 26th; Saturday, December 31st.

And a reminder about back stock – please do not pull any winter back stock unless you need a specific size. What we have needs to last through February and there is not a lot left. Sad to say there are no more XL pants and very few XL tops, so what is on the floor is it. Same for small tops. We do have winter boots that still need to go out and I will try to do that this week.

Dixie, Robert and Judy and Art Bourassa recently braved the elements to do some “picking” at Lake Cocolalla and what a treasure trove they found for Bizarre Bazaar! One of the biggest finds was “hundreds of jars”. These are canning jars in almost every size imaginable. Dixie is offering these for sale at great prices: Quarts are $1, pints and ½ pints are 50 cents. She exhorts us to jump in and pick some up at this great price and to let everyone else know as well. Buyers can contact Dixie either at 208-265-8537 or via email at msdixiels@gmail.com. There will also be some jars in Dixie’s craft section starting next week. For all you home canners this is such a great bargain and for crafters, there is bound to be a size you can use to create something beautiful or store your treasures in. Proceeds, of course, will benefit Bizarre Bazaar.

And one final word - our November revenue was $19,200.80! You ROCK! Thank every one of you who have helped make Bizarre Bazaar what it is today - a classy upscale resale boutique!

We hope all of you and your loved ones have a very Merry Christmas! Thank you, thank you, thank you for all you give to Bizarre Bazaar.

With deep appreciation,

Diane and Cherie
