Greetings Dear Volunteers,

This year's Tour de Thrift was a huge success. The shop had a line of customers waiting to get in at 10:00am and it was a steady stream of customers all day. The first Tour de Thrift in 2012 brought in sales of $800. This year our sales were around $1300. Thanks to everyone that worked to make it so successful. That's way above an average Saturday!

BOOKS

Sue Vogelsinger and Robert Qualls are rearranging the book department. It is a huge undertaking as not only are the books categorized but also alphabetized within each section. They start by sorting the books in the back room, so even though it looks like the pile of books is just growing, there is a plan in motion. A GIANT THANK YOU to them.

LINENS

Vicki Edwards has generously volunteered to help Betsy Harding sort, price, and keep the linens tidy. However, please help by sorting them as you would clothing when they are first donated. Helpful hints are posted on the linen shelf in the backroom.

NEW BIKE RACK

Yippee the bike rack has been installed. The high school boys from the welding class volunteered to install it. Cindy and I were thrilled with it and let them know. In fact they finished the rest of CAL’s birthday cake.

All is well.

Fondly,

Joyce and Cindy
